Like someone who has been away from home for a long time and returns with the curious gaze of a visitor, brothers Alejandro and Víctor Hernández have immersed themselves in the musical tradition of their native land to create a unique music in which analogue synthesizers meet castanets and lutes.
Two voices that have grown up singing together, they now take up the local accent, the repertoire, of the cuadrillas murcianas, the traditional music groups of Murcia, while turning to futuristic electronica, approaching folklore not as a relic but as a source of inspiration.
With Raül Refree as producer of their debut album, the first four singles of which are already available, Maestro Espada is one of the most exciting names in new Spanish folklore.
